Come to Me, all you who labor.....

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]" --Matthew 11:28 AMP
We all have much to do in our lives - whether it's pertaining to work, school, family, church involvement, etc. There is no doubt that our plates are full and sometimes "overflowing" with things to do. So much so, that we often feel overburdened and stressed out.
The enemy will try to take advantage of that position of weariness, and cause us to feel anxious about our situation - worried that there's so much going on, that nothing's going to be accomplished. And if we give in to that feeling of anxiety, only depression results (Proverbs 12:25).
BUT, Jesus promises to give us rest that will refresh our souls. Not just give us sleep for our bodies - or a "break" from the work - but a re-firing, restoring, reviving rest for our mind, will and emotions.
Rodney Howard-Browne said, "Revival begins in the heart of a person." So too, our revival and refreshing will begin in our hearts. As we continue to lean on the Lord for our strength and peace through every situation.
